Physical Folk’s main aim is to help promote inclusion in the creative industries and offer inclusive and practical creative employment skills and media training. As our courses impact on not just the participants but also the wider family we are delighted to announce that we have been registered with the Family Arts Standards since 2013 when as volunteers we helped set up the first Family Arts Festival in Chatham, Medway, Kent.
We believe that having a family should not be a barrier to accessing the arts. We also believe in a creative industry that measures people on their creative abilities and not their family responsibilities.
As registered users of the Family Arts Standard, we give opportunities to involve the family in all our projects and make sure that the content of all our media is family friendly and that our film screenings are family accessible.
